It’s been a while since we have posted on the blog so here’s a new one! As we enter the fall of 2012 we are excited about the direction we are heading. We are excited about the OneLife Movement and challenge of everyone praying for and inviting one friend to our Sunday church service and other ways of getting involved. Today I read a great article that is on the same lines that we have been on with regards to reaching out to people in the community. It’s a great, short and sweet read – CLICK HERE to do so.
May you be encouraged and challenged by this article and may God continue to use you as a deliverer of his divine truths to those who don’t know him.
As many of you know today Dennis had a follow up appointment with his doctor to see how things were progressing. They were also planning on making a decision on the need for arthroscopic surgery.
Thankfully he is slowing getting better and the doctor decided to hold off on that decision till Monday. So please continue to pray for healing. Dennis feels as if he is getting his strength back but is still in pain. He is also having a very hard time not being able to do things. So pray for rest, healing, and peace. Pray that come Monday there would be absolutely no need for surgery.
I’ll keep you posted as new information comes in. Thanks for all your support and prayers!
Grace and peace,
Here is the most recent update on Dennis.
So at this point it looks like he has some sort of staff infection (but honestly they aren’t for sure). His treatment allows him to be home but he needs to go in for his medication every 12 hours. As long as he sits and takes it easy he feels pretty good. :).
Here is the deal. If he doesn’t show improvement by Thursday they will then have to move forward with some orthoscopic tests. Please continue to pray for rest and for complete healing. At this point he is looking pretty out of commission for another week or more.
I will keep you posted if anything changes.
Hope you all are having a great Monday.
Grace and peace,
As I sat reading through Matthew I was struck with two things…
1. The stories I remember best from Matthew are the ones I heard over and over when I was a little girl. It just reiterated to me how very important it is to raise up our young ones in the Word, and not just the “feel good stories” or the “fun stories” but ALL of them!
2. As I was reading I kept hearing songs over and over from the musical “Godspell”. For those of you who might not know, “Godspell” is a musical written in the 1970’s based on the Gospel of Matthew. I would continually run across scripture that had been turned into lyrics for the musical. I was struck by how powerful music can be. Even though I don’t remember the last time I listened too or saw “Godspell” those songs came flooding back. I am not saying we need to only listen to Christian music, I am simply saying we should be aware of what we are daily flooding into our system and how it can effect us.
Just some Road Trip ponderings.

I don’t know about you all, but I had a great time worshiping God. I had missed a week because I was speaking up at Lakeside Bible Camp for the Sr. High winter retreat. But yesterday on top of having a nice full band we had Lisa Peretti Stephenson lending her voice and musicianship to the band. OneLife had the honor of hosting one of her performances after having first released her most recent album. Well today a new video has come out of Lisa doing what she does best. She is an amazing singer/songwriter/actor/artist and below you can catch her singing in Italian even! We thought you’d enjoy seeing it.
To learn more about Lisa you can go to her website.
